Gold Cuffs

A gold cuff features an open gap design that slips directly onto the wrist from the side, whereas a bangle is a continuous, closed ring that must slide over your hand. This makes gold cuffs much easier to put on and take off while offering a closer, more tailored fit.

Never pull or pry the ends of a gold cuff apart to fit your wrist. Instead, turn your wrist sideways (over the smallest fleshy part of your wrist) and slide the open gap of the cuff over the side of your wrist, then rotate the cuff into place.

Gentle adjustments can be made by applying soft, even pressure across the body of the cuff. Avoid bending the metal repeatedly at a single point, as over-flexing will fatigue the metal and cause the gold plating to crack or split.

Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your wrist bone. Most standard women’s cuffs fit wrist circumferences between 15 cm and 17.5 cm with a gap opening of 2.5 cm to 3 cm. If your wrist falls between sizes, choose the larger size for a relaxed fit or the smaller size for a snug fit.

Gold cuffs are crafted using premium, nickel-free base metals and typically solid 925 sterling silver or jewellery-grade brass. They are finished with thick layers of 18k gold plate or gold vermeil for long-lasting brilliance.

Sculptural or wide gold cuffs are designed with hollow or contoured interiors. This maintains a bold, high-end architectural presence while keeping the piece lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear.

It is recommended to remove your gold cuff before showering, swimming, or working out. Moisture, sweat, chlorine, and soap deposits accelerate gold-plating wear and can dull the polished gold finish.

A wide gold cuff works best as an anchor piece on one wrist. For a layered look, pair a slim gold cuff alongside fine gold chain bracelets or a leather-strap watch, ensuring you mix textures while keeping metals consistent.

Wipe your gold cuff with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth after each wear to remove skin oils. Avoid abrasive chemical cleaners or harsh polishing cloths, as they can strip the 18k gold-plated layer over time.

Tarnishing usually occurs when gold plating reacts to air, lotion, or perfume. Restore its lustre by gently washing the cuff in warm water with mild dish soap, rinsing thoroughly, and patting dry with a soft cloth before storing it in its original felt pouch. You can also use a jewellery cleaning wipe to remove tarnish build-up.
